Mr. Kang Zheng    Chairman
 

 

Before Mr. Kang started his career at CCEC, he acted as the Secretary of China National Committee for World Energy Council and International Cooperation Department of State Grid and has been involved with several international energy investment projects. In June 2005, Mr. Kang was elected as the first Chairman of China Council for Promotion of CDM, the only industry body for CDM in China . Mr. Kang has also conducted energy policy research on international energy cooperation for many years. He also has been interviewed by the most prestigious national publications in China such as Xinhua News Agency and People Daily.

Mr. Kang holds a Master degree in Management from Hunan University and a PhD degree from Tsinghua University .
 

 
Ms. Liu Qingmei     Executive Director

 

Ms. Liu has thirty years experience in national electricity construction. She was in charge of the Development and Financial Department at State Grid, previously known as State Power Cooperation. Ms. Liu was involved with restructuring of the five largest Chinese power groups (such as Huaneng International Group) and the establishment of the China Electric Power Ninth Five-Year Plan and Tenth Five-Year Plan. Ms. Liu was also involved in coordinating electricity prices between State Grid and other power companies.

 

Ms. Liu holds a Bachelor degree from Renmin University . .

 
Ms. Sha Ying      Executive Director

 

Prior joining CCEC, Ms. Sha worked for the Development Bureau of the Ministry of Water Resources in China . She was responsible for listing companies in the Hydropower industry such as Huanghe Waijiazai Company.

 

Ms. Sha graduated from Capital University of Economics and Business of China with a Bachelor degree.

 
Ms. Lin Shunrong    Executive Director

 

Ms. Lin worked at the largest flower trading company, Aalsmeer, in the Netherlands and acted as a consultant. She carried out strategic planning and research on the agriculture market and environmental market in China . Since her return to China in 2005, Ms. Lin has led and chaired the feasibility study, development and implementation of many international cooperation CDM projects.

 

Ms. Lin graduated from Larenstein International Agricultural college of Wageningen University with a Master degree in International Agriculture. She holds an MBA degree in International Agribusiness from China Agricultural University and completed an advanced study programme in Sustainable Development Management at Imperial College London.

 
Victor Ng   Non-executive Director

 

Victor Ng, a co-founder and executive director of London Asia, is responsible for London Asia's operations in the Greater China region. A former principal with KPMG Singapore, he has helped fund, advised and launched several start-ups as well as later stage companies including several which were subsequently listed in Singapore, Malaysia, New York and London.

These have included a number of Chinese environmental companies, such as Asia Water Technology Ltd (of which he is a director), a Chinese water company which listed on the Singapore stock exchange in March 2005; Asia Power Corporation (of which he is a director), a Chinese power company listed in Singapore; and Singapore listed Devotion Ecotechnology (of which he is chairman).

Victor has been investing in energy businesses in China since 1996 and is a visiting Professor for Energy Economics at the China Academy of Sciences (New Energy Institute, Guangzhou ).

Victor initiated, launched and now serves as president for the Singapore chapter of the US based International Association for Energy Economics. He was awarded the Public Community Service Medal for his social contributions by the President of the Republic of Singapore in 1992, and is a committee member of the Majulah Connection.

 
Simon Littlewood   Non-executive Director

 

Simon Littlewood is a co-founder and the Chief Executive of London Asia Capital plc ("London Asia"). After qualifying as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand, London (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) where he specialised in high growth companies, he joined the structured and corporate finance division of the HSBC Group in London .

In 1995, he moved to BDO Stoy Hayward's corporate finance team, where he advised on AiM flotations, mergers and acquisitions and fund raisings. He left in 1996 to set up the Temima Group, an investment and corporate finance business. From 1997 to 1998, he worked with Impax Group plc, the AiM listed investment bank specialised in the environmental sector, where he was responsible for a number of corporate finance transactions and fund raisings.

Simon was a co-founder in 1999 of Enviro Finance Ltd, a UK based environmental consulting business which has advised a number of businesses in the environmental sector on raising funds, IPO'ing and project finance - clients have included The Co-Op Bank, a French wind project development company, a Scottish wind project and the UK Government.

In 2002 he became Chief Executive of an AiM listed shell and converted it into London Asia, taking it from a market capitalisation of ¡ê0.6 million to over ¡ê40 million. London Asia has made over 20 investments in Asian businesses.

Simon also listed the ¡ê50 million London Asia Chinese Private Equity Fund on AiM in March 2006 which has since made 7 investments in Chinese businesses for over ¡ê23 million. He has experience of working on transactions in the UK , Continental and Eastern Europe, the US , Canada , Israel , China and South East Asia . He is a director of AiM listed European Education plc and a number of private companies and represents London Asia on the boards of several of its investee companies, including PLUS listed China Education Group Limited, China Eastsea Busness Software Limited, and China Biotech Healthcare Ltd. Simon graduated in Law from Oxford University and is a visiting professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences Energy Institute in Guangzhou .

 
Dengfeng Mi    Non-executive Director

 

Based in Beijing , China , John is the founder and CEO of China Financial Services, a company specialising in security and analysis products. John is also a director of Ofex traded China Education Group Limited.

Expert in security and capital markets of China , Hong Kong , Singapore , London and the USA , John successfully established Beijing Success Co., Ltd. He is also the Executive Director and the CEO of Beijing Securities Century Co., Ltd.
