Xinjiang Get River VI Hydropower Project

Gu’ertu River Cascade Stage VI Hydropower Project (the “Project”)= a small-scale diversion type hydropower plant with installed capacity of 7MW(2×2.7MW+1×1.6MW), located on the middle stream of Gu’ertu River, in Wusu County, Yili Khazakh Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, P.R.China. It’s estimated to produce power generation of 27,240MWh and evacuate electricity of 26,691.9MWh to Northwest China Power Grid (NWPG) annually. The Project is mainly composed of a diversion channel, a fore bay, penstocks, a 7MW power house and 10KV transmission lines and etc. NWPG is dominated by thermal power plants. The Project will displace an equivalent amount of electricity currently generated by fossil-fuel power plants by making use of clean and renewable energy, thus achieving expected GHGs emission reductions of 22,683 tCO2e annually.
