The proposed project is designed to construct a 4.4 MW diversion type hydropower plant located on Liyuanhe River in Nantaizi Village, Linze County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, P. R. China, which will generate an annual on-grid supply of 12,807 MWh to be connected to Gansu Grid and subsequently to Northwest China Power Grid. The proposed project will reduce CO2 emissions by avoiding the operation of existing thermal power plants and its further expansion, and thus make a strong contribution to socio-economic development and sustainable development in local area
